Writing with AI (WAi) is a research project designed to learn about how youth use generative AI in their everyday writing lives and develop AI literacy.
About Us
Writing with AI (WAi*), a design based research study, contributes to emerging understandings about the impact of generative AI on youth writing and uses this knowledge to design and implement curricular and pedagogical interventions that support the development of young people’s AI literacy.
Project WAi
Over three design phases, this study will learn how high school students and teachers can use creative activities to support learning with and about generative AI. This study will contribute to emerging understandings about the impact of generative AI on youth writing.
WAi Contest: Get Creative with AI
We invite youth writers and artists to show the imaginative ways you use AI in your creative practice. Digital artwork, videos, scripts, stories, comics, character designs and beyond are welcome! Submit your piece with an artist statement by October 5th, 2024 for a chance to win a cash prize and a publication opportunity in NOVA Litmag. We look forward to seeing your work!
